Carbon claim layer
Sellers should identify the claim object, accounting boundary, data year, emissions sources, reduction plan, verification documents, and any carbon credit or removal evidence. Organizational claims should not replace product-level evidence.
Energy label layer
ENERGY STAR public materials state that products are tested in an EPA-recognized laboratory and reviewed by an EPA-recognized certification body before they can carry the label. EPEAT uses Bronze, Silver, and Gold ratings for electronics. The EU EPREL database provides energy and environmental performance information for products bearing the EU energy label.
