What sellers should verify
GOTS: Check whether the final product is covered, not only a fabric or yarn. Review the label grade, certification body, and certification number.
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100: Check the product class. Product Class 1 applies to baby and toddler products and has the strictest requirements.
bluesign / bluepass: Check whether the claim uses the previous bluesign terminology or the newer bluepass system. bluepass covers consumer products, intermediate articles, and chemical products.
Recommended preparation
- Certificate-scope sheet: finished product, fabric, accessory, chemical product, factory, or brand entity.
- SKU mapping sheet: certification number, label grade, product class, model, color, size, batch, ASIN, and UPC/EAN.
- Public-claim sheet: where the certification name, product class, label grade, certification number, or verification link must appear.
