Data review date: 2026-08-08. This English version is localized from the reviewed Chinese article and is based on the public framework of Japan's Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law, METI product safety information, and the Amazon Japan seller help entry for PSE-related documents. Requirements can vary by product category, sales route, and platform notice. This guide does not promise listing approval, review results, account outcomes, certification results, ranking, traffic, or sales.

Start with product scope

Sellers should first check product name, use case, input and output parameters, adapter or battery structure, and sales configuration. If a device, adapter, battery pack, or power component is sold separately, each item may need its own document review. Do not rely only on the main device name.

Review Diamond PSE and applicable standards

Diamond PSE routes generally require stricter third-party conformity assessment. Round PSE routes also require technical files and evidence of applicable standards. In practice, teams should confirm product classification, then align JIS or other technical standards, test reports, label photos, importer or responsible-party information, and listing files with the exact product model.

Documents to prepare

  • Product model list and series-difference explanation.
  • PSE certificates, test reports, or conformity documents where applicable.
  • Label photos, nameplate information, and user manuals.
  • Japanese importer, responsible-party, or filing information.
  • Platform-specific supplementary notes and file version records.

Boundary notes

Do not describe document submission as guaranteed platform approval. Do not reuse an old model report for a new model with different structure. Do not promise review timing, certification results, ranking, traffic, or sales outcomes. Final requirements should be checked against official law, the certification body, and the seller account's platform notice.
