On July 23, 2026, the CPSC warned consumers to stop using Mikrdoo children's sleepwear because the products violated mandatory children's sleepwear safety standards and presented a burn risk. For cross-border children's apparel sellers, this should not be turned into a panic headline. It should become a pre-listing question: is the product children's sleepwear, ordinary children's clothing, or a product that meets a tight-fitting or infant-garment exception?
Classify First, Then Talk About Testing
CPSC materials show that children's sleepwear standards cover sleepwear for children older than 9 months through size 14. Some infant garments or tight-fitting garments may have size, labeling, and definition conditions. Sellers therefore cannot judge only by whether the title contains pajamas, and they cannot use ordinary children's clothing or loungewear as a shortcut to avoid evidence.
Build an Evidence Table
