For Amazon CPF preparation, a GOTS file should not be reduced to one supplier certificate image. Sellers need to check the version, label grade, SC, TC, and SKU wording.

GOTS 8.0 transition

GOTS Version 8.0 was released in March 2026 and becomes applicable to certified entities and accepted chemical inputs from March 1, 2027. Sellers should check the certificate version, supplier preparation, chemical input records, and related management documents.

Label grade

GOTS-certified products must contain at least 70% certified organic fibres. The Organic label grade requires at least 95% certified organic fibres. The Made with x% organic materials grade normally applies to products with 70% to 94% certified organic fibres.

Scope Certificate

A Scope Certificate shows that a certified entity is able to process listed product categories under GOTS certification. It is useful for checking the certified entity, product category, certification body, scope, and certificate status. It does not prove that a specific shipment is GOTS-certified.

Transaction Certificate

A Transaction Certificate verifies one or more products as GOTS-certified. For a target SKU claim, sellers should check whether the TC covers the product or material and whether it matches the supplier, buyer, product description, quantity, and batch information.

Suggested evidence folders

Separate the files into four folders: version materials, label grade, SC files, and TC files.
