Climate Pledge Friendly (CPF) is an Amazon program that helps customers identify products with sustainability features. It is not a universal certificate and does not certify an entire brand or store. Whether a label appears depends on the specific product, the applicable certification or Amazon-developed program, the marketplace, and the current Seller Central requirements.
1. CPF is not a generic “green-label certificate”
Amazon describes CPF as working with recognised third-party certifications and some Amazon-developed certification programs. An eligible product may display a Climate Pledge Friendly label in the store. Amazon’s advertising guidance also states that the label qualifies a single product, not a brand as a whole. Amazon-developed programs have their own rules and should not be treated as third-party certifications.
- Product: confirm the ASIN/SKU, variation, model, material and marketplace.
- Certification: confirm the certifier, certificate or registry record, scope, status and product coverage.
- Supply chain: where the standard requires it, link the certificate holder, production site, batch and transaction evidence.
- Page: describe only product features supported by the evidence; do not turn a company-, packaging- or component-level document into a product-wide claim.
2. Screen the product path, then verify the current program list
Build the review around three possible sources: recognised third-party certifications, Amazon-developed product programs, and any targeted program or submission route currently shown in Seller Central. Names such as FSC, GRS, GOTS, RWS, RDS, EPEAT, TCO Certified and EPA Safer Choice may be candidates to check, but they do not prove that every marketplace, category or SKU is eligible. Lists, categories and submission routes can change, so verify them against Amazon’s current materials and the certifier’s own records.
| Review layer | Question | Evidence to retain |
|---|---|---|
| Product identity | Which ASIN, SKU, model or variation does the file cover? | Product master data, model and variation mapping |
| Certification scope | Do the holder, site, category and material scope cover this product? | Certificate, scope, registry record and status |
| Supply-chain link | Can seller, holder, batch and transaction be connected? | Purchase, batch, TC/SC or standard-required records |
| Page wording | Does the page describe only evidence-supported product features? | Page version, claim basis and review record |
3. If a certification was submitted but the label is absent, check three mismatches
1. Product mismatch: the evidence covers packaging, material, company or a component, but is used for the finished product; or the scope does not cover the SKU, model, variation or marketplace.
2. Entity and chain mismatch: a factory or supplier holds the certificate, but seller, site, batch and transaction records are not linked.
3. Platform-data mismatch: the program, certifier, number or product attributes do not match the current Seller Central template. “Submitted” should not be treated as proof that a label has been awarded.
4. Evidence checklist before publishing
- Lock the marketplace, ASIN/SKU, model, variation and claim object.
- Use Amazon’s current CPF route to confirm whether the certification or program is still relevant.
- Verify holder, scope, status and product coverage against the certifier or program record.
- Index certificates, transaction/batch records, product data and page versions together.
- Review each sentence: do not promise automatic display, approval, traffic or other outcomes, and do not present CPF as a substitute for legal, product-safety or all-purpose environmental requirements.
5. Sources and boundaries
This page is based on Amazon’s Sustainability Solutions Hub, the Amazon Ads CPF creative guidelines, Buy with Prime Sustainability Features materials, and public materials from relevant certification organisations. Programs, recognised certifications and submission routes may change. Sellers should confirm product status from the current Seller Central workflow, product record and certification documents. 绿色方舟(深圳)认证有限公司 can help organise a product–certification–page evidence index; it does not make the program decision for Amazon or a certification organisation.
